The Batu Mas (meaning 'Gold Rock' in Bahasa Indonesia) prospect was another first drilled by Billiton Indonesia in the late 1990's after being identified as a target through soil geochemistry and mapping exercise over the Lakuwahi Caldera.
Batu Mas has a similar geology to the Batu Hitam prospect although the silica-barite stockwork is more intensive with a corresponding increase in the level of the gold mineralisation. Significant base metal intersections are also observed within the altered andesitic basement with grades as high as 2 metres @ 21% combined Lead-Zinc mineralisation seen in hole LWD025.
Highlights of the assay results for the Robust Resources' holes are as follows:
|
LWD 017: |
27 metres at 2.19 g/t Au and 48 g/t Ag from 22m |
| |
LWD 018: |
This hole was abandoned well short of its target depth due to drilling problems and was re-drilled as LWD025. Results from the abandoned hole were as follows:
6.65 metres at 0.31 g/t Au and 34 g/t Ag from 38.4m |
| |
LWD 019: |
18.1 metres at 0.55 g/t Au and 11 g/t Ag from 33m |
| |
LWD 020: |
33 metres at 1.45 g/t Au and 111 g/t Ag from 18m Including: 11.0 metres at 2.46 g/t Au and 113 g/t Ag from 28m |
| |
LWD 021: |
2.45 metres at 3.10 g/t Au and 29 g/t Ag from surface And: 20.6 metres at 1.07 g/t Au and 46 g/t Ag from 27.35m |
| |
LWD 022: |
7.0 metres at 1.01 g/t Au and 21 g/t Ag from 33m |
| |
LWD 025: |
23m @ 0.52g/t Au, 23g/t Ag, 2.54% Pb and 2.27% Zn Including: 3.7 metres at 1 g/t Au, 55 g/t Ag, and 13.23% Combined Pb-Zn And: 2 metres at 1.51 g/t Au, 89 g/t Ag, and 21.04% Combined Pb-Zn |
