Romang Island is located in Eastern Indonesia approximately 650km north-west of Darwin, Romang lies within the Banda magnetic arc, near to several world class gold and base metal deposits including Newmont's massive Batu Hijau (920 million metric tonnes at 0.55% copper and 0.42 grams per tonne gold).
Robust is exploring highly prospective ground previously explored by Billiton (1990s) and the Ashton Mining Group using owner-operated diamond drill rigs. Wide zones of gold-zinc-silver-lead-copper mineralisation have been identified within the current 5,000m drilling programme.
